Motherhood Minis
Sleepless nights, endless worry, pride beyond measure, and love to the moon and back… Nobody quite prepares us for the pendulum of emotions that comes along with Motherhood. It’s overwhelming and all-consuming, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. For many of us, we began feverishly documenting our children’s lives before they had even made their appearance Earthside, and if you are anything like me, you have 10 million photos of your children (this year alone), and maybe 5 of them include you. And it’s probably a selfie.
Mama, I can help you to remedy that situation. You might not feel like you “look good” in front of the camera. Maybe you want to lose a bunch of weight first. Let me be real with you though (from someone who has been trying to lose that pregnancy weight for the last 14 years) Exist in photos for your children NOW. Every step of their lives, be in those photos with them, despite how you feel about your physical appearance. I promise you, your children love you just the way you are. One day, they will look back on photos of you with them and see the you that they love, the connection that you share, and not a single flaw that you feel every time you try to wrap your head around stepping in front of the lens.

It’s that time again! I know it’s only February, but time flies, and pretty soon the snow will be gone and I will be back in Barrie to see all of your beautiful smiling faces again! 😀

2023 Christmas Minis Now Booking | North Bay & Callander Child Photographer
It’s time! The most wonderful time of the year – what everyone has been asking me for since July! This years’ Christmas Mini Event is now open for booking!
There will be three sets to choose from this year (thank you to everyone who helped me choose them back in the Summertime). 🙂 Light & Airy was a crowd favourite followed closely by the Christmas Camper, and I couldn’t resist adding in “Simply Green” for those of you looking for a less “themed” option that is clean and classic, that we can dress up with your own style of wardrobe and have fun with throwing around “snow” or glitter, your choice!
WHEN? The sets will be up from Thursday November 2 through to Thursday November 16th, with timeslots between 8:30am-3pm each day. There will be two weekend dates (Light & Airy + Simply Green will be up November 4 and November 11 from 10am-12pm) The Christmas Camper set is available by special request, at this time.

Crisp, cool temperatures. The smell of falling leaves, warm coffee, knit blankets and a good book… Fall might actually be my favourite time of the year (even though I’m not quite ready to give up on Summer just yet!) Photographing families on the beautiful, warm Fall colours is one of my absolute favourite things, so I’m excited that my Fall schedule is now open for booking!

Barrie Portrait Sessions 2023 | Family & Child Photographer
Once upon a time, I lived in Barrie. My business was born there, and it was there where it grew to be what it is today. When I moved away in 2019, I vowed to come back to see whoever wanted to see me for portraits at least once each year for as long as I could.
This year, I’m able to make it back just once, and there are still a few time slots available while I’m in town! 🙂

I don’t usually do discounted family mini events outdoors, but I’m absolutely DYING to get back outside after being cooped up all Winter, so I figured, why not!? New Newborn Package | North Bay & Callander Newborn Baby & Family Photographer
Over the years, my newborn sessions have all focused on baby. The new addition to the family, a session to celebrate their arrival and document this special time in a family’s life, photographing baby on multiple backdrops, on different colours and in different props… Some of my packages included the option for family portraits and siblings, but because posing baby on all of the different sets on their own takes so much time and patience, the family segment is always a quick add-in at the beginning of the session and then we move on to focus on baby alone.
I’ve been noticing a gap in my package offerings as of late, particularly for the crowd who has older siblings, and so I’ve finally remedied it! Introducing the brand new “Family + Newborn” Collection!
This package combines everything I know and love about my family sessions AND newborn sessions and rolls them all together into one perfect package so that, in the end, you’re left with a beautiful gallery with everything you need to update family albums and create art walls in your home. Bonus is that because it takes me a bit less time to complete, it comes with a lower price tag as well (not by a lot, but any savings is good, right!?) 😛
The Family + Newborn Collection begins with two different poses of family portraits (standing and sitting), and then a set with just parents and their new bundle. Images of just each parent on their own with new baby are captured, and if there are older siblings involved they get to have their picture taken with each of them as well. Then, we move on to sibling portraits and capture all of those beautiful kiddos together. The one major change to this collection that the other packages don’t have is the incorporation of individual portraits of each child. You’re photographing your brand new baby all by themselves, so I really felt that any and all older siblings deserved to have updated portraits of themselves as well. This is a super important and exciting time in all of their lives, and they deserve to be remembered just how they are, right now, as well.
After siblings have had their time to shine in front of the camera, then it’s baby’s turn. New baby is photographed wrapped, on one solid colour backdrop from multiple angles (including those gorgeous macro (close up) shots of their little features – lips, eyelashes, ears, fingers, toes…) If baby’s temperament will allow, then I peel back the layers of wrap and attempt a few different poses on that same backdrop. The end result is a perfect, cohesive gallery, and I love everything about it. I hope that you all will too!
