7th Annual Studio Christmas Minis | Barrie Child Photographer
I am SO excited that my new studio is finally slated for completion just in time for this event! The 7th Annual Studio Christmas Mini Event is now open for booking! This year’s backdrop will feature a pure, white set with a tree and beautiful fireplace with timeless decoration that is sure to suit anyone’s home decor. These sessions are fabulous for Holiday Cards and Christmas gifts as well.
What are the dates?
Friday November 3, 2017 – 10am-3pm
Saturday November 4, 2017 – 10am-3pm
Monday November 6, 2017 – 10am-3pm
What is the cost?
$150+HST (due on booking) includes:
- 15 minute session
- 3 digital files of your choice with the option to upgrade (earlybird purchase of the entire gallery of digital files is available for a $100 discount, details in booking form).
- Exclusive In-Person Reveal & Order Appointment with 30% discount on all A La Carte print products
*These sessions are for kids, but this year there is an option to add in one quick family photo at the beginning of your session. 🙂

I think the best part of being a Professional Photographer is getting to snuggle all of the brand spanking new bundles of joy that come my way! They’re pretty much always 14 days old or less – they don’t get much newer than that!
A few months back, I had the opportunity to meet this sweet gal – 5ish pounds of the sweetest little baby girl you ever did see. She was such an angel for her session, and I LOVE how her gallery turned out!
This Fall, I have a few more spaces left on my calendar for newborn sessions. I have more newborns than usual this season (yay!) and even a few sets of multiples in the line up! If you are expecting between now and December (keeping in mind that I am closed for the last two weeks of December for the Holidays), please Contact Me soon to reserve your timeslot to avoid disappointment. Sadly, I refer more newborns out to other photographers at this time of year because my calendar is so jam packed than any other time of year. I book newborn sessions Monday-Friday at 10am (or 11am if you’re travelling from out of town). Tree Farm Family Sessions | Barrie Family and Child Photographer
It’s that time of year again! Tree Farm Family Minis are now open to the public! There are only TWO timeslots left at this time, so if you want in, act fast!
Sessions are taking place at the Tree Farm in Thornton, Ontario on Saturday September 23rd, 2017. The package this year is the same as last year – $199+HST for your 30 minute session and 5 digital files of your choice delivered via online download. Upgrade options are available (please feel free to email info@raindancephoto.ca for full upgrade package options).

I am so incredibly proud to have achieved this professional designation through APNPI (Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International). I have always been passionate about advocating for newborn safety during sessions. Over the years, I have made an effort to try and educate new parents on the importance of doing their research and choosing a Professional Photographer who can not only deliver a beautiful gallery of quality images, but also handle their brand new baby confidently and safely as a result of knowledge of newborn anatomy and physiology and years of experience and training.

I have so many sessions to share that I barely know where to start! This year has been so bonkers for me and time has been flying by so fast, that I’m just going to start picking random sessions to share out of a hat! 😛
Today, I’m bringing you back to May, when I met Dominic for the first time. He was barely 14 days old and was such a loveable, squishable, kissable little bundle, I could have snuggled him all day long!

It was a great pleasure to work with these two itty bitty ladies a few months ago, then brand spanking new! In all my years of newborn photography, having worked with many sets of multiples, I had never gotten my hands on a set of identical twin girls up to this point so I was REALLY excited to meet these two!
They were dolls – between myself and my assistant, I think we managed about 4 sets, photographing both girls together and individually in under 2 hours (a small miracle, lol)
I’ve been dying to share their session with you, and I thought doing so today would be a great way to end a great week!

2017 Calendar Announcements | Barrie Professional Photographer
Hey everyone!
I feel like I’ve been MIA FOREVER! Our family just finished moving (literally around the corner) and I’ve been buried underneath boxes, boxes, and MORE BOXES! I wanted to take a break from cleaning and unpacking to release my Spring and Summer calendar for booking, since I happened to glance out my window and notice the SUN, and it got me all excited for outdoor sessions once the weather warms up… this time of year is almost magical for me, after being cooped up all winter, limited to studio work, I begin daydreaming of that beautiful summer haze of the golden, setting sun… the warm breeze (and heck, even the mosquitoes, why not!?)

Rustic Family Promotional Event:
We’re trying something a wee bit different this year! I typically don’t offer family “mini” sessions with the exception of Drysdales in the Fall because I feel too rushed to get through a whole family in only 20-30 minutes. I ALWAYS have requests from families for portraits on a rustic barn board backdrop that I have here in my studio (which is waaaay too small to fit an actual family on, lol) So, this year I have secured an actual barn to use for a rustic themed family event! I CANNOT WAIT for these sessions!
These are FULL FAMILY SESSIONS at a deeply discounted price – Only 4 timeslots available.

Bennett | Barrie Newborn Baby Photographer
At the end of last year, I met baby Bennett and his family in my Barrie Photography Studio for his newborn session. I was pretty excited to work with him, as I’d done his big sister’s newborn session just two short years prior and I always love having the opportunity to work with families again and again!
Bennett was such a great little guy to work with. Slept the whole time and never made a peep. I was so happy that his parents had pre-purchased his entire gallery of images, because I don’t know how they would have narrowed them down, I know I couldn’t! 😛
Just a little booking update that I am only taking ONE more newborn for March at this time. Thereafter, I will be moving and so I am booking down between March 17th and the beginning of June, where any newborn sessions might take place in my client’s homes instead of in-studio, while I wait for my studio renovations to be complete. If you are expecting in that timeframe, please contact me NOW to book to avoid disappointment.
