It’s that time of year again! Tree Farm Family Minis are now open to the public! There are only TWO timeslots left at this time, so if you want in, act fast!
Sessions are taking place at the Tree Farm in Thornton, Ontario on Saturday September 23rd, 2017. The package this year is the same as last year – $199+HST for your 30 minute session and 5 digital files of your choice delivered via online download. Upgrade options are available (please feel free to email info@raindancephoto.ca for full upgrade package options).

Hey everyone!
I feel like I’ve been MIA FOREVER! Our family just finished moving (literally around the corner) and I’ve been buried underneath boxes, boxes, and MORE BOXES! I wanted to take a break from cleaning and unpacking to release my Spring and Summer calendar for booking, since I happened to glance out my window and notice the SUN, and it got me all excited for outdoor sessions once the weather warms up… this time of year is almost magical for me, after being cooped up all winter, limited to studio work, I begin daydreaming of that beautiful summer haze of the golden, setting sun… the warm breeze (and heck, even the mosquitoes, why not!?)

Mommy & Me Promotional Event:
This years’ Mommy & Me Event will be held outdoors during Golden Hour! These sessions are appropriate for mothers and their children (of all ages!)

Rustic Family Promotional Event:
We’re trying something a wee bit different this year! I typically don’t offer family “mini” sessions with the exception of Drysdales in the Fall because I feel too rushed to get through a whole family in only 20-30 minutes. I ALWAYS have requests from families for portraits on a rustic barn board backdrop that I have here in my studio (which is waaaay too small to fit an actual family on, lol) So, this year I have secured an actual barn to use for a rustic themed family event! I CANNOT WAIT for these sessions!
These are FULL FAMILY SESSIONS at a deeply discounted price – Only 4 timeslots available.

Charity Pet Photo Event | Barrie Pet Photographer
If you’re a pet owner, you know that a pet is more than just a random animal roaming around your house. They are your friend and companion, they know when you’re feeling sad, upset, or scared; they motivate you and love you without judgment. Their mere presence is therapeutic.
This year, we lost one of our furry friends (Speckles the hamster) and as a result of her sudden passing, we found ourselves with a new furry friend (Jeff the hamster). Well, Jeff and Spots (our remaining hamster) found themselves making friends one day (thank you to my children) and suddenly POOF! 10 more little fur babies appeared in our hamster cage one morning. Imagine that. Lol
It was witnessing this life cycle that lead me to contemplate our other beloved fur-baby, Reese the cat. She is 15 and aging quickly. I realized that I needed to photograph her now, so that we have a beautiful heirloom of her to cherish forever. This realization lead me to have an intense desire to help other people have beautiful heirloom portraits of their beloved fur babies too!
As such, I will be holding an all-day mini event devoted to Pets only! Every single penny raised will be donated to the Barrie Branch of the OSPCA to help them care for all of the furry friends who are currently waiting for their forever homes.

The OSPCA is currently in need of financial donations as well as donations of the following items:
~ X-Strong X-large garbage bags (need to be strong enough to half fill with dirty litter and make it the garbage bin without ripping)
~ 6’ leashes
~ Martingale collars of all sizes
~ fun cat toys
~ Towels
~ Blankets
If you bring in one of these items in addition to your $40 Creative Fee, you will automatically receive an 8×10 print of your pet as well! Also, anyone who participates in this event can enter to win a family photo session of their full family in the Spring! So come on out, support our local OSPCA Branch, receive an awesome heirloom portrait of your fur-baby and be entered to win a full family session! I can’t wait to work with your fur babies!
2016 Christmas Minis | Barrie Baby and Child Photographer
I’ve finally found a few minutes to photograph my little models on this years’ Christmas Mini Set! When I started planning this years’ set, I wanted to do something VERY neutral. Something that only SUGGESTED a holiday or Christmas theme. I wanted something classic and neutral enough for clients to give as gifts and hang in their homes year round without it looking like a Christmas decoration.. the end result was a deliciously creamy set with neutral whites and creams with pops of gold and silver. Clients can make it more Christmas-sy if they want to with brightly coloured Christmas outfits, they can make it comfy and cozy with wintery pajamas, or they can have a classic look with vintage-style clothing in creams, beiges, and browns… that’s the beauty of this years’ simple set!
These sessions are excellent for getting those perfect Christmas card shots, and the special product menu this year offers our cards at a discounted price! Leave with just digital files, Christmas cards, or a shopping cart full of unique gift items for the whole family if you want. WHAT ARE THEY?
These sessions are limited edition mini sessions to capture those magnificent milestones that your baby will experience in their first year of life. These sessions are appropriate for babies 3-12 months of age. They are not appropriate for cake smash sessions. 1 Baby only (unless they are a twin or triplet, etc.)
WHEN ARE THEY?
These sessions can take place any time (Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 1:30pm) within 2016! They are limited edition though, which means that there are a limited number available before bookings close (and who knows when that will happen!) Best to book early to ensure yourself a timeslot, even if you want to book later in the year. 🙂
