I am embarrassingly behind on blogging sessions (like, far enough behind that the fine folks I’m about to feature in this blog have had another baby since! lol!) I do have so much content that I want to share though, so I’m just going to start sharing! For anyone who doesn’t know, I photograph maternity, families (young and old!), babies in all stages, newborns, birthday portraits (including cake smashes) and even pets! I have so many sessions to share that I haven’t over the last year, I hope you’re ready for an influx of gorgeous photos! Anyhow, this little man’s session happened about a year ago in my studio (which will be moving to Callander, Ontario, as of May 30th this year!) I am available to take last minute newborn bookings in Barrie up until May 24, 2019, so if you’ve been meaning to book and haven’t yet or if, in May, you hear someone saying that they dropped the ball on booking their newborn portraits and can’t find a photographer with availability, send them my way! I have weekday availability at 10am for newborns until Friday May 24th. 🙂

The Nolet Family | Callander/North Bay Beach Sessions
Looking back on sessions from last summer, I can almost feel the water up to my hips as I hike my gear up a little higher and capture all of these fun family memories for my clients on the beach! Beach sessions were my most requested location last year, and THIS year, all of my beach sessions will happen in the North Bay/Callander area! I can’t wait to meet new faces and work with new families, and I’m SUPER excited that some of my clients from the Barrie area are already planning their trip North for the summer to catch me for beach sessions up in our new digs! I still have to do some scouting once I’m there to find my favourite spot, but from what I’ve seen so far, the beaches up North are more plentiful and less crowded than the one tiny beach we have to work with down here, so… I’m super pumped!
All of my outdoor sessions happen 2 hours after sunrise, or 2 hours before sunset (sunset is the most popular though, so if you want one of those timeslots, inquire soon!) My schedule this year in Callander/North Bay will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings at 6 and 7pm. I have four new digital packages available (and just for this year, I’m including my promotional mini pricing as well!) Typically, the promotional pricing is only available for themed events (like the Tree Farm) once or twice a year, but I’m making an exception this year as I rebuild my business in a new area – tell your friends! 😉

You’ll notice that my packages all include a certain number of digital files with them. Over the years, I’ve found that my clients want digital files, and so that is what I provide (although I do carry a carefully curated line of high-quality boutique products such as albums, prints, and wall art like canvas and standouts for anyone who wants them). Some people want to be able to print their own pictures wherever they want and send them to friends and family online, and so my packages are tailored for that. Some people know that they want to hang just a few pictures in their homes, and so a package with fewer digital files will suffice for them. Some people know that they want to be able to create an album with ALL of the images in their gallery, and so there are All Inclusive package options for those folks too. And, if you’re booking for the first time and don’t really know how things will turn out or what you really want out of your session, there are upgrade options available once you see your images for the first time (and I’m happy to send along A La Carte pricing to anyone who inquires.) 🙂

I’m so excited that the Winter seems to be finally on the way out, and pretty soon, we will be breathing that beautiful, warm summer air! Summer time means family photoshoots in beautiful sun-drenched light during the warm golden evening hours at this time of year, and I cannot wait to get back out there!
This year is unique, in that as of May 30th, I will be moving out of Barrie and relocating to Callander, Ontario. However, I DO have a schedule of dates when I will be returning to the Barrie area to service my clientele in this region. Mommy & Me Mini Sessions | Family Photographer
I have been doing an absolutely terrible job marketing the Mommy & Me Mini event that’s happening on Saturday March 2nd! lol!
This event is always my favourite event of the year. There is nothing sweeter than watching little ones soak up 100% of their Mama’s attention during these sessions. The absolute best part, is when Mama sees her images for the first time, and really SEES how her children look at her… my heart is full.

FAQ:
Q. Can we purchase more digital files if we want more?
A. Of course! Additional digital files are available to purchase individually OR if you wish, you can purchase the entire gallery for a discounted price.
Q. Is this limited to children and their moms? I’m an adult and would like portraits with my own mom/grandmother, is that possible?
A. This event is NOT just for moms of small children! Once a mom, always a mom, even when our kids are grown and gone. Please feel free to book a session for you and your own mama! If you would like to include multiple moms AND children in one session, I recommend booking two timeslots.
Q. I’ve never booked a session with you before, when you say “gallery”, how many images will I have to pick from? What does an “entire gallery” look like?
A. Great question! An entire gallery for a mini session consists of anywhere between 25-45 images to choose from. Feel free to scroll down this blog post to see an example of what an entire gallery from one of my Mommy & Me Minis last year looked like! 🙂

I am SO BEHIND on blogging! Oh my goodness, I need to catch up! I have so many adorable images to share of so many beautiful little ones! Last year, during my Pure & Simple Baby Mini Event (which is happening again this month!) I met up with little Ashton. He was a really smiley little guy, and quite the little joker too, because for MOST of his session, he stuck his tongue out at me! lol!

The only thing I love more than holding the Client Appreciation Contest each year is ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS! This year, the participation was PHENOMENAL! 2nd Annual “In the Clouds” Mini Event | Baby and Child Photographer
Booking is NOW OPEN for this themed Mini Event! If you have a little dreamer – a whimsical little being who would love to sit in the clouds and gaze at the stars and maybe even throw some glitter around, then these are for you!
When? Sunday January 20, 2019 AND Monday January 21, 2019
Where? Raindance Photography’s Home Studio in Barrie, Ontario
What’s Included? Each package includes your 20 minute session, private in-person ordering appointment (2-3 weeks after your session), and 3 digital files of your choice via digital download. Options to purchase additional digital files or product are available to those who would like to do so.
How Much? $150+HST (169.50 total) due on booking via Square (credit card), Email Money Transfer, or PayPal.
Are there any restrictions? These sessions are perfect for babies who are sitting unassisted as well as children up to 10 years of age (if you think your older kiddo would be into it though, then please don’t hesitate to sign up!) Each session fee covers siblings from ONE IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY. If more than one family would like portraits of their children together, each family is required to submit $150+hst. This is to ensure that there is enough time available to capture group, sibling, and individual portraits of each child from each family.
