HOPE | A PHOTO SERIES
DAY 1
My doors are shut, my family is safely tucked away in our home, doing our part to “flatten the curve”… And I can already tell you that if I can’t pick up my camera for who knows how long, this photographer is going to go wonky. 😛
That’s when it hit me – there is beauty all around us, we just need to open our eyes and find it. These are times that don’t feel very beautiful or hopeful. They are filled with anxiety, uncertainty, and fear. I’m making it my mission throughout the course of this pandemic to open my eyes, find, and photograph beauty and hope in my home and in my own back yard every.single.day.
In an effort to post just ONE thing every day that isn’t related to the craziness in our world right now, I will share one photo every day that inspires hope in me. I encourage you all to do the same! Feel free, every day on every “Hope” post that I make on Facebook, to share a photo that you’ve taken that inspires hope in you too.
We can find ways to lift each other up during this time, and my way is to encourage you all to find the beauty in your lives at this crazy time.
So I’ll start today with our little mango plant. After having mango for breakfast some weeks ago now, we decided to experiment with planting the leftover seed to see if it would grow. It grew, and is thriving, and this little green guy makes my heart happy.
