My year started out this year with mostly girl newborns. That came to an abrupt halt by the end of February, and every single newborn I’ve seen since has been a boy… with the exception of sweet little Tessa! I saw this little chicky in my Barrie photography studio back in mid-August, and she was an absolute dream to work with! At this point, I think all of the newborns I have booked in to the Fall are Team Green… I’m hopeful that I’ll get to see some more little gals before the year is out (although I do love little boy snuggles too!) 😉

Paris’s Cake Smash | Barrie Baby and Child Photographer
It’s about that time of year again where I start seeing A LOT of messiness here in my little photography studio! On this day, I met up with sweet little Paris to celebrate her first birthday with a Breakfast at Tiffany’s inspired set! I was so honoured to be able to watch this little ball of awesomeness grow for the first year of her life, from her newborn session all the way through to her first birthday portraits. That first year always amazes me so much… how one tiny human can grow and change SO MUCH in the blink of an eye. One day they’re brand new, curled up and sleepy with that new baby smell… and the next they’re starting to talk, walk, and show off for the camera.

Connor | Barrie Newborn Baby and Family Photographer
It was the beginning of Summer holidays when I first met baby Connor here in my Barrie Photography Studio… he was an absolute DREAM to photograph, slept the whole time and never made a peep! I loved the neutral colour palate of creams, browns, and soft blues that we went with throughout his session.

Ethan | Barrie Maternity and Newborn Photographer
At the beginning of the Summer, I met up with this gorgeous Mama, then expecting her second son, to help her photographically document her pregnancy. Not long later, she returned with sweet baby Ethan, who was an absolute DREAM to photograph! His big brother was so smitten with him, it was absolutely adorable and touching to watch the love that these three all had for one another. I am honoured to have the pleasure of documenting Ethan’s entire first year as he grows!
When new clients book a session with me, I am frequently asked “Just how many images come with the purchase of the Entire Gallery?” The answer is that the amount varies from session to session. But usually between 35-60 images per session… as you can see below, Ethan’s Mama ended up with A LOT of gorgeous images to help her remember this special time.

Jacob | Barrie Newborn Baby Photographer
Wee Jacob’s parents came to visit me with their then 6-day-old bundle of joy back in May. I was SO HONOURED that they chose me to photograph this little miracle, since they lived quite a distance away, and baby Jacob was born via emergency C-Section. He was such an amazing baby to photograph, just so content, laid back, sleepy and sweet! His parents were completely taken with him, and it was very obvious in their family photos! My favourite part of the entire session was when I had everything I needed for my gallery, Jacob had been a rockstar and I was ready to gather him up off my beanbag and hand him back to Mom and Dad… but when I peeked behind my light, I found both Mom and Dad passed completely out (one on the couch, the other on the floor, lol) and so I decided to throw in some bonus material since I didn’t have the heart to wake any of them. 😉
Thank you Mom and Dad, for making the trek to my studio! It was a pleasure!

Hunter | Barrie Newborn Baby and Family Photographer
When I first found out that Hunter was on the way (many months ago now) I was SO excited! His mom has been my BFF for about a billion years now and I have been so very fortunate to not only have photographically documented her teenage years (this may or may not be a good thing for her, lol) but I was also honoured to have been there to capture her wedding, first pregnancy, first newborn session, her first baby’s first birthday, and NOW her first son.
Baby Hunter was such a good baby for me! When he was awake, he flashed me the most adorable, cheeky smiles… but mostly he slept like an angel. I love how this session turned out, and couldn’t wait to share it with you all too!
I will be releasing the dates for my remaining August availability in the next few days (there are only 4 golden hour spots left!) so if you’d like one, now’s the time to contact me! Also, I can take 1 or 2 more newborns for August, and also am accepting newborn bookings into December at this time.

Hudson C | Barrie Newborn Baby and Family Photographer
This little Hudson wasn’t really all that “little”… Nearly 11 lbs of sweet, squishy, chubby newborn goodness – I met him in my Barrie Photography Studio when he was just days old. He was so very alert and happy, not really interested in sleeping, but content to just watch everything that was happening around him. I told Mom and Dad that I didn’t expect I would be able to get him to sleep (he was SO happy and alert!) which they were perfectly fine with, and then all of a sudden, he crashed hard and I was able to put him through nearly every pose in the book!
I absolutely loved meeting this family and working with their new little one. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for trusting me to capture this fleeting time in your life!

Campbell | Barrie Newborn Baby and Family Photographer
As promised, another squishy newborn post this week! I had a huge baby boom back in April, seeing 4 newborns within the course of 6 days! Campbell was one of those newborns (all were boys, by the way). Come to think of it, I don’t know when I have another little girl booked, so far everyone on my calendar is bringing me a boy! Mr. Campbell wasn’t much interested in sleep, but I’ve never been one to give up, and in the end, I won and this little dude fell faaast asleep, and just LOOK at the sweet, squishy gallery we were able to get out of his session! I love looking back at this one, so simple and sweet!
Just a little calendar update since my last blog post – I am now fully booked for June and July. I am still accepting bookings in August and onwards (only 2 more for August though!) If you want to secure space for yourself, please contact me now.

Hudson | Barrie Newborn Baby and Family Photographer
I haven’t blogged in AGES and I have so many adorable, squishy newborn sessions that need to be shared! On this day, back in April (has it really already been THAT long ago!?) I met with new baby Hudson and his family in my Barrie Photography Studio for his newborn session. He was such a dream to work with, and I LOVED the colour theme of moody blacks, greys, and blues that his parents suggested for his session.
As far as newborn sessions go, I am currently booking into December (yes, I have December newborns on the calendar already!) with 2 spots left for July, and 1 left for August. I will be away for two weeks this Summer with my little family, so if you are expecting and would like to secure a timeslot for yourself in my calendar, please contact me NOW to book to avoid disappointment.

Ellis and Jack | Barrie Twin Newborn Baby Photographer
I can’t really describe how excited I get when I get an inquiry for a twin newborn session! My absolute passion is newborn photography, so having the rare opportunity to photograph multiples is a treat! I met these two little munchkins back in February in my Barrie Photography Studio, and with the help of my trusted assistant Nikki, these sweet babies let us put them through six different sets , both together and individually in 1 hour and 30 minutes! Almost unheard of considering most singleton newborn sessions take north of 3 hours to complete!
I couldn’t WAIT for Ellis and Jack’s parents to come back in for their Reveal Session so that I could show them their gallery. I loved being able to help them sort through their favourites and choose which products and images were going to look best on their walls. They ended up choosing an AMAZING statement piece for their home (keep scrolling, you’ll see it!)
